Endogenic varves
Endogenic varves receive crystallizing minerogenic particles through chemical precipitation from the water column. This occurs during supersaturation and is often linked to evaporation. Precipitation of e.g. calcite, siderite, gypsum or halite depends on the solubility product and on the concentration of participating ions in the lake water.
