To unsubscribe from a publication (e-news; electronic or hard copy of Past Global Changes Magazine):
Go to Edit / View / Delete profile then deselect the relevant publication.

Delete your profile

To delete your profile completely:
Send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with "Delete my account" in the subject field.
Your entry will then be permanently erased and no data will be retained.

How do I change or update my contact details?

Go to the Edit / View / Delete profile menu.

How can I reset my password if I've forgotten it?

1. Go to Edit / View / Delete profile
2. Click the orange text "Forgot Login?"
3. Use the email address registered with your account and press "Send Password".
4. You’ll then receive an email with instructions on how to make a new password.

What if the email address used in my People Database entry is no longer valid or I can no longer access that email account?

Please write to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the subject line "Update my People Database details" advising your new contact details and we will make the update for you.


We welcome your feedback on how we can improve the database. Email our Communications Officer with your comments.

Terms and Conditions

Images or information in your profile must not be offensive and we reserve the right not to display content we deem inappropriate.

During the registration process you may also request copies of our monthly e-news and Past Global Changes Magazine (our free paleoscience magazine published 2-3 times per year).

You can unsubscribe from one or all of the publications or request that we delete your profile completely at any time (see above).

Privacy Policy

The PAGES People Database contains online profiles of 5,900+ paleoclimate and paleoenvironmental scientists and supporters around the globe. By subscribing, you are creating an online profile for yourself. You can update this profile at any time. You can also search the other records by name, country, institute, program, or scientific expertise.

The disclosure of your data in the PAGES People Database is voluntary. Certain fields are compulsory and will be displayed when your profile is published online. This is indicated by a graphic on the righthand side of each field as you enter the information.

The protection of your personal data is very important to us and we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure that your data is safe and not passed on.

We will not disclose your personal information to third parties. Third parties are prohibited from sending unsolicited information to mailing addresses, phone or fax numbers or e-mail addresses published in our online database. We reserve the right to take legal action against anyone violating this prohibition by sending so-called spam to our subscribers.
