The PalMod International Open Science Conference (IOSC) will be held in Vienna, Austria, from 7-8 April 2018.

The conference title is "From the Last Interglacial to the Anthropocene - Modeling a Complete Glacial Cycle."

The PalMod (Paleo Modelling) project focuses on the understanding of climate system dynamics and variability during the last glacial cycle. The themes of the conference group around these major topics:

- Modeling the last glacial
- Inception with ESMs
- Understanding and modeling of physical and biogeochemical processes over the last 20,000 years
- Paleo climatological
- Synthesis of data for model validation
- Optimization of model quality and performance
